These terms apply to every order placed with Portale through www.portale.co.za, by email, or by WhatsApp.

1. Who we are

Portale is a trading name of CNM Collective (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2025/688161/07, a private company registered in South Africa.

CNM Collective (Pty) Ltd is not registered for VAT. All prices shown are final and no VAT is added at invoice.

2. What we sell

Portale sells NFC keychains paired with a digital profile that we build for you. A keychain is programmed to open a web address. Tapping it on a phone opens your profile. No app is needed by you or by the person tapping.

We also sell digital-only services, including profile rebuilds, analytics setup, and annual hosting.

3. Placing an order

An order is confirmed once payment, or the agreed deposit, has cleared. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion, in which case any amount paid is refunded in full.

Every order requires a completed intake form before production begins. We do not programme a keychain or start a build before intake is complete.

Bulk and corporate orders are quoted individually and are governed by the written quote for that order, which takes precedence over these terms where the two differ.

4. Payment

Individual orders are paid in full at checkout. Bulk and corporate orders are subject to a deposit, normally 50 percent, with the balance due before delivery. The deposit covers materials and is not refundable once production has begun.

Payments made through www.portale.co.za are for Portale's own products and services only. We do not collect payment on behalf of any other business, person or third party.

5. What we build

We build and test every profile before it ships. No keychain is delivered blank or unprogrammed.

Your package sets out how many rounds of changes are included. Further changes after that are quoted as a rebuild.

6. Content you give us

You keep ownership of the text, images, logos and links you send us. By sending them, you confirm you have the right to use them, and you give us permission to publish them on your profile and to show your profile as an example of our work, unless you ask us in writing not to.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you send. We do not publish content that is unlawful, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights.

7. Hosting and the profile

Your profile is hosted by Portale. The first twelve months of hosting are included in your package price. After that, hosting is billed annually. If hosting lapses, the profile is taken offline, and the keychain will no longer open a working page. You can reactivate the keychain once hosting is settled.

We aim to keep profiles available at all times but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access, as hosting depends on third-party infrastructure.

8. The keychain

Keychains are hand-poured in resin. Small variations in colour, finish and bubbling are normal and are part of a handmade product. They are not defects.

Your profile is not stored on the chip. If a keychain is lost or damaged, the profile stays live and can be linked to a replacement keychain, which is charged for.

9. Branding

The Portale name stays visible on the product. We do not white-label, and we do not offer reseller arrangements.

10. Liability

Portale is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of a keychain or a profile, including business or networking opportunities missed because of a device, connectivity or hosting issue. Our liability in any claim is limited to the amount paid for the order.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published on www.portale.co.za at the time you place your order is the version that applies to that order.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
